youthful, brighter appearance to the face. This is a very common
procedure carried out by Transform's facial surgeon's and the

Facelift Surgery (Rhytidectomy) at Transform FAQs
Who will facelift surgery benefit?
People who feel that their face looks excessively old or tired,
due to sagging, drooping, excessive facial creases, or a slack jaw
and neck line, will benefit from facelift surgery. This procedure
is very popular with both men and women. Patients who have
undergone other facial surgery, particularly blepharoplasty (eye lift) will benefit from a
facelift (or a brow lift), as the tauter
skin on the forehead, temple and brow helps keep the eyes appear
bright, open and wide-awake looking.
How is a facelift done?
There are 6 different types of facelifts available; the
selection will depend on your specific requirements, which you and
your surgeon can discuss to find the best option for you. Facelift
surgery is performed under general anaesthetic (you will be fully
unconscious), with small, discreet incisions made to enable the
surgeon to make your face lie tauter over your face. Some patients
may also benefit from simultaneous procedures to improve the effect
of the facelift, such as eye lift or eyelid
correction, a brow lift, or lipoplasty to the chin and jaw area.
How long will a facelift take?
As general anaesthetic is required, you will required to stay
overnight in the comfortable surroundings of your local Transform
clinic. Find your local Transform clinic
here.
What results can I expect from a facelift?
Patients who undergo facelift surgery can expect smoother,
tauter skin on the face and neck. The appearance of the face will
be brighter, fresher and more youthful.
How long is the recovery period from a facelift?
An overnight stay is required as you will be under general
anaesthetic. As movement is restructured straight after surgery,
patients are advised not to drive for 5 days immediately after the
operation. Transform recommends 2 weeks’ holiday from work; 3 weeks
if the eyes are corrected simultaneously. Full bandages are removed
after 24 normally. Bruising and swelling will be apparent for up to
2 weeks; thereafter it can take up to 12 weeks for puffiness to
subside. Dependant on the type of facelift, full recovery and
return of all sensation could take up to 12 months.
Are there any after effects to facelift surgery?
Bruising and swelling, and puffiness with some loss of sensation
for a period (see above). Aside from normal, post-surgery
discomfort, you should not experience side effects from a facelift.
If anything abnormal is happening, you are encouraged to get in
touch with the clinic as soon as possible so we can see if there is
any problem is and, if so, put it right straight away. We offer a
comprehensive and extensive post-operative care programme, which
includes detailed post-operative instructions and follow-up
appointments with your surgeon at your local Transform clinic to
ensure a speedy recovery, all at no additional cost. Find out more about our comprehensive aftercare
programme here.
Are there risks associated with facelift surgery?
Transform has performed more cosmetic surgery than any other
provider in the UK. As such, we are extremely experienced; there is
no provider better placed to help you become more confident through
cosmetic surgery. However, as with all operations, there are some
risks associated with facelift correction surgery. Your surgeon can
help put you at ease regarding any worries you may have. You can
talk through these concerns at your free
consultation.
Can I combine a facelift with other procedures?
Many people who undergo facelift surgery have an overall aim to
look younger. Many patients choose to
combine eye lift, lipoplasty on the face, cheek or chin implants
to give a more youthful appearance to the face. Likewise, some
cosmetic dentistry procedures will not
only enhance your smile, but also give a fuller, younger look to
the face. We offer a range of packages combining our most popular
complimentary facelift procedures. Call 08706 099 099 or use our
online form to discuss which combination of
procedures would suit you best at free consultation.
How much does a facelift cost?
Facelift surgery costs from £4750. Here at Transform, we don’t
see why finance should be a barrier to your happiness; that’s why
we offer 12 months’ 0% interest free credit for eye lift surgery.
