having surgery.

Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) - FAQs
Who will tummy tuck surgery benefit?
Men and women who feel their confidence is affected by a flabby,
overhanging tummy will benefit from a tummy tuck. Maybe you have
tried exercise and dieting, to no avail; tummy tuck surgery will
give you the taut, slim appearance to give you greater confidence.
Call us or use our online form to discuss
your specific requirements in complete confidence at a free
consultation.
How is a tummy tuck done?
There is two different types of tummy tuck: full abdominoplasty
and modified abdominoplasty. Tummy tuck surgery involves the
surgeon removing excess skin from around your abdominal area. The
surgeon may also recommend liposuction for a further
enhancement.
How long will tummy tuck surgery take?
Tummy tuck surgery requires a general anaesthetic (you will be
completely unconscious). A 2 night stay in the comfortable
surroundings of your local Transform hospital is required. Find your local Transform clinic here.
What results can I expect from a tummy tuck?
You can expect a slimmer tummy with a tauter appearance that
will enable greater confidence. Browse the
before and after pictures of tummy tuck surgery to see some great
results.
How long is the recovery period from a tummy tuck?
Transform recommend 2-3 weeks’ holiday from work. Patients are
advised to avoid strenuous exercise for at least 6 weeks. The tummy
area may take up to 6 months to settle down completely – though
many people experience quicker recovery (particularly if you have
had a modified tummy tuck).
Are there any after effects to having a tummy tuck?
A post-surgery abdominal support garment is to be worn
constantly for 2 weeks after surgery. After that it must be worn
during the day. The stomach will take up to 6 months to settle and
will feel sore in the upcoming months after surgery.
Are there risks associated with a tummy tuck ?
Transform has performed more cosmetic surgery than any other
provider in the UK. As such, we are extremely experienced; there is
no provider better placed to help you become more confident through
cosmetic surgery. However, as with all operations, there are some
risks associated with a tummy tuck. Your surgeon can help put you
at ease regarding any worries you may have. You can talk through
these concerns at your free
consultation.
Can I combine a tummy tuck with other treatments?
Many people choose to combine tummy tucks with other surgery.
Some women feel that after childbirth, as well as losing firmness
in their tummy, their breasts also lose firmness and opt for
breast uplift or breast enlargement. Your surgeon may suggest
combining a tummy tuck with liposuction in the same area; you may
like to explore having it in another area to give your body an
overall slimmer effect.
How much does a tummy tuck cost?
A tummy tuck costs from £4,500. Here at Transform, we don’t see
why finance should be a barrier to your happiness; that’s why we
offer 12 months’ 0% interest free credit for tummy tuck surgery.

How do I arrange to have a tummy tuck?
The first step towards undergoing a tummy tuck is to book a free
consultation with a member of our friendly, expert team. At a
consultation, you can expect to see a patient care co-ordinator,
with whom you will have plenty of opportunities to ask any
questions you may have about the procedure. The consultation will
take around 30 mins, during which time you will not be given the
‘hard sell’. No pressure will be put on you to go through with the
procedure, and you will not be forced to make a decision at the
consultation. We understand that this is a big decision for you and
we want you to be totally satisfied that it’s the right thing to do
before committing to the procedure booking.
